Grampian Labradors, reg.

Robin Anderson and Gerrie Owren

grampianlabs@comcast.net and gerrieo@verizon.net

Before you email us for a Christmas Puppy,

please read this

Even if Gerrie and I had puppies the right age at Christmas, we will not sell you one until after the holidays.  The above article has all our reasons why we never send puppies home at Christmas time.

Further, we don't like to give puppies as surprise gifts at any time of year.  We want to meet all the family members who will be in contact with our puppies before we agree to letting one go.

Please purchase your puppy or adult dog from a reputable breeder or a reputable Lab rescue group such as  www.labrescue.com rather than a pet store or from the back yard of someone who can't show you proper documentation about the parents.

Contact Barb Burri, breeder referral coordinator of the Labrador Retriever Club of Greater Boston for a list of club breeders with litters on the way:  bburri@comcast.net Or go to www.prlrc.org for more litter listings.  There is a good breeders search engine at:  www.thelabradorclub.com

Yellow and black puppies will be expected from Duet and Rustle sometime in August of 2012.  The puppies can go home sometime in October.

We are taking names for this litter, which should be a bunch of chubby loveable couch cushion type dogs, meant to be snuggled by a family or worked in the field during hunting season.

Both dogs are big boned with beautiful heads and should pass on those physical qualities to their puppies.

Both Rustle and Duet have a good work ethic and plenty of drive in the field along with their gentle nature and love of children.

If you want a puppy from this litter, please send us an application form.

In the fall of 2012 Shooter and Stella will produce a litter of black and yellow puppies with active personalities.  Both dogs love to please their people.  Both dogs love to play and run and do their jobs.

Shooter is from a litter of nine puppies, four of which are multi-titled in a variety of venues.  Merlin is multi-titled in Agility, Rally and Obedience.  Dazzle is an AKC CH with advanced hunting titles.  Lola is a group placing, Best in Show girl with hunting and Rally titles. Shooter is our CHARMED ONE, having come back to Grampian to accomplish so much in less than a year after 'hibernating' in a pet home for three out of his five years.

Stella's father Bo is multi Best in Specialty winner. He's still a bouncy boy now that he's a senior.  Stella's mother Gecko is a sweet girl who will be earning her Senior Hunting title during the 2012-2013 test season.

If you think you want a great working dog with a loving personality, please send an application for this litter.
